Job summary

Metro is seeking a Grocery Clerk to join our team. You will help keep shelves stocked and well presented while sharing your passion for food with customers. This part-time role is unionized and offers opportunities to contribute to a positive shopping experience.

You will unload deliveries, restock, rotate stock, and assist customers. Flexibility for days, evenings, weekends and holidays is required, with emphasis on safety and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Stock merchandise and create displays.
• Good product knowledge and attention to detail.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Retail experience is considered an asset.
• Able to stand for extended periods and work under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and organize products in the backroom or cooler.
• Restock shelves and rotate stock (FIFO).
• Keep aisles, shelves and store clean and tidy.
• Assist customers in finding products and answering questions.
• Set up promotional displays and update signage.
• Support other departments as needed.
