Job summary

Moonee Valley City Council is seeking a Grants Lead to work across grants portfolios, supporting the Community Grants Program and securing external funding. You will collaborate with teams to develop compelling funding applications, prepare award nominations and ensure grant opportunities are effectively managed.

You will coordinate planning, assessment and reporting, improve program delivery, and prepare high-quality reports and submissions for the Coordinator Grants and Council.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in social science, community development or related discipline.
• Experience in grants programs and administration.
• Strong project and time management skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience preparing reports, briefing papers and funding submissions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning, assessment and reporting processes for Council’s Community Grants Program, ensuring alignment with Council policy.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Community Grants Program to respond to community needs and Council’s strategic priorities.
• Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and funding submissions for Council and the Coordinator Grants.
• Support the Community Grants Advisory Committee.
• Contribute to development of accessible information and training to help community groups apply for funding.
• Identify and monitor external funding opportunities and develop grant applications for priority projects.
• Maintain grant opportunity registers, databases and electronic grants management systems, and support the administration of active grants.
