Job summary

AnglicareSA is seeking a Financial Counsellor to support individuals, families, and communities with practical guidance to build financial resilience. This part-time (0.8FTE) fixed-term role is based at Playford, running until 30 June 2027.

You’ll conduct assessments, provide tailored interventions, deliver case management, and connect clients to internal and external services, contributing to long-term financial wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to complete accurate, comprehensive, and high-level case noting.
• Proven ability to work with First Nations communities, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, Newly Arrived and emerging communities.
• Diploma in Financial Counselling.

Responsibilities

• Conduits assessments and implementing tailored interventions that align with best-practice financial counselling standards to achieve meaningful outcomes for clients.
• Delivering case management by gathering and distributing accurate financial materials and resources, and ensuring clients are directed to the appropriate internal and external services.
• Building strong community connections by participating in local forums and collaborating with other service providers to strengthen referral pathways and partnerships.
