Job summary

Southern Cross Care is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to provide support, guidance, and supervision to Personal Carers under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in our South Australia aged care facilities. The role covers health promoting services, clinical care, and governance, with a focus on dementia care, medication administration, and accurate progress notes, in line with the Better for Life framework.

This permanent part-time position offers flexible hours (30.5 hours per fortnight), salary

Qualifications

• Diploma of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
• Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
• Previous experience as an Enrolled Nurse in an Aged Care environment is desirable
• Strong communication skills with English literacy for older residents
• Exceptional time management and ability to support other staff
• High-level understanding of dementia care and knowledge of Aged Care Standards

Responsibilities

• Health Promoting Services: promote resident independence, social engagement and meaningful activities while following infection control protocols.
• Clinical Care: deliver best practice clinical care, update progress notes, administer medications safely, and collaborate with Allied Health and Lifestyle staff.
• Governance and Supervision: mentor Personal Carers, assist Registered Nurses in organising workloads, monitor resource usage, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
