Job summary

NSW Tollway Ombudsman is seeking a Communications and Engagement Officer on a part-time 0.6 FTE basis with hybrid working arrangements. You will shape communications and engagement from the ground up, coordinating stakeholders, events and publications in a small, collaborative team.

You will bring strong writing and relationship-building skills, plus experience across communications, events or public affairs. Join us to help deliver transparent and effective stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, member services, events or related roles.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Experience coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, events or consultations.
• Experience supporting reports, publications and organisational communications.
• Strong organisational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate stakeholder and member engagement activities across the organisation.
• Plan and deliver stakeholder events, forums, workshops and engagement activities.
• Develop, edit and coordinate internal and external communications plans and materials.
• Draft newsletters, stakeholder updates, website content, presentations, factsheets and other collateral.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with members, toll entities, government agencies and other stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of annual reports, performance reports and other organisational publications.
