Job summary

Moreton Bay Regional Council is seeking a First 5 Forever Outreach Officer to deliver early literacy outreach across the region. This is a maximum-term, part-time role 20 hours per week, based in Redcliffe. The position pays $46.31 per hour plus 12% super, until 1 June 2028, with weekend work required.

You’ll run Storytime, Baby Rhyme Time and Playtime sessions and build training packs for library teams. Experience in early literacy delivery, strong interpersonal skills and a current driver's

Qualifications

• Experience delivering early literacy outreach programs.
• Ability to work across the region with hands-on program delivery.
• Eligibility for Working with Children Check and a current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Storytime, Baby Rhyme Time and Playtime sessions in outdoor spaces across the region.
• Compile training packages and outreach delivery schedules with library branch teams.
• Collect data and feedback for reporting to State Library of Qld and Council.
• Develop work instructions to support literacy program delivery.
