Qualifications

  • Hold a valid NSW Driver’s Licence (P2/full) and are confident driving Unisson vehicles.
  • Energetic, compassionate, and emotionally resilient.
  • Experienced in disability support (preferred).
  • Qualified with Cert III/IV in Disability (desirable).

  • Use safe manual handling techniques in accordance with individual plans.

About the Role

We’re seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our supportive team in Wyong working a minimum of 30 hours per fortnight. In this role, you’ll assist a group of clients with intellectual disabilities who live together in a shared home. They enjoy engaging in creative and sensory activities, cooking, spending time with loved ones and getting out into the community. You’ll be a key part of helping them achieve greater independence and joy in their daily lives.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver active support aligned with each client’s goals and support plans
  • Assist with daily personal care tasks (e.g., toileting, showering, dressing)
  • Use safe manual handling techniques in accordance with individual plans
  • Facilitate community access and transport using Unisson vehicles or public transport
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, families and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports and records
  • Work collaboratively within a close-knit team
  • Respond appropriately to incidents in line with Unisson and NDIS guidelines

    • Monday: 3.30PM - 10.00PM, Wyong (SIL204)
    • Tuesday: No shift
    • Wednesday: 6.00AM - 9.00AM, Wyong (SIL204)
    • Thursday: 2.30PM - 7.00PM, Wyong (SIL204)
    • Friday: 2.30PM - 7.00PM, Wyong (SIL204)
    • Saturday: No shift
    • Sunday: 10.00AM - 2.00PM, Wyong (SIL204)
Who We’re Looking For
