Job summary

Wannon Water in Warrnambool is seeking a Development Services Officer on a part-time basis (20 hours per week) for a 12-month contract. The role handles requests about water and sewer services for new land and property developments, plus minor trade waste and backflow matters.

You will assist with council and developer referrals, review designs, and process various water connections while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. Hybrid work and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in water industry or public sector.
• Background in technical design, planning, engineering or construction is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in responses to council and developers for land development and subdivision referrals.
• Assist review of water supply and sewerage designs, construction standards and related drawings.
• Process water and sewer connections and related servicing requests.
• Respond to water and sewer servicing enquiries and private agreements.
