Job summary

Smiles Zetland in Sydney is seeking an experienced dental assistant to join our team on a part-time basis, 3 days per week plus 2 Saturdays per month, in a modern 2-chair practice.

You will support Dentists and the wider team, helping deliver quality patient care, prepare patients, sterilise instruments, and maintain a clean, efficient treatment area, with a focus on infection control and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential.
• Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and prepare them for procedures.
• Assist dentist during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare and sterilise dental instruments.
• Monitor supplies and maintain the treatment area.
• Collaborate with dentists, hygienists and staff to ensure smooth workflow.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and regulatory requirements.
