Job summary

Victoria University (VU) is seeking a Continuing, Part-time Clinical Placements Officer to coordinate student placements in the Clinical Psychology program. The role is based at MetroWest Footscray on campus Mondays and Tuesdays, 14.7 hours per week, with a pro rata salary of HEP 7 $101,288 - $109,639 per annum plus 17% superannuation.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with at least four years’ relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Be registered as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia; endorsement as a clinical psychologist is preferred.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Bring excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, presentation and report-writing skills, including liaising with community organisations and engaging with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Have the ability to support, advise and review student competence in practicum placements and manage confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage administrative systems enabling student placements to occur timely and professionally.
• Maintain placement databases and records for agency, student and staff details.
• Prepare and distribute placement documentation, including manuals and learning contracts.
• Liaise with clinical and community agencies across Victoria to facilitate placements and document learning outcomes.
• Monitor and report on student progress and competency, including site visits and reviews.
• Provide guidance to students regarding learning needs and placement issues.
