Job summary

Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is seeking an Intake and Administration Officer for the Central Intake team in East Gippsland, Victoria. You will be the first point of contact, assess needs, coordinate referrals and help connect people with the right support to stay safely at home or transition from hospital to home.

The role is ongoing part-time (48 hours per fortnight) within a supportive health service offering career growth and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' administration and customer service experience.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume client interactions with accuracy and professionalism.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well-developed organisational skills with ability to prioritise competing tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence learning new systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referrals across community health services.
• Complete initial needs assessments and intake processes.
• Triage and schedule client appointments.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and referrers.
• Maintain accurate client records and data systems.
• Liaise with clinicians, GPs and external providers.
