Job summary

Abbotsleigh is seeking a Christian Studies Teacher for the Junior School (Transition to Year 6) in Wahroonga. The role is part-time at 0.4 FTE with start Term 1 2027, reporting to the Head of Junior School.

Responsibilities include classroom teaching, Chapel leadership and CRU opportunities, shaping faith experiences across the school year. You will foster a warm, collaborative learning environment, support students’ faith journeys and build strong partnerships with families and colleagues while

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher eligible for NESA accreditation.
• Appropriate theological qualifications or demonstrated experience in Christian ministry and education.
• Current Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Christian Studies programs for Transition to Year 6.
• Lead and contribute to faith experiences and Chapel programs.
• Foster a love of learning and explore the Christian faith with students.
• Support students' spiritual, social and emotional development.
• Build positive partnerships with families and colleagues.
• Collaborate to create meaningful opportunities for faith celebration.
