Job summary

Warrigal Care is seeking a skilled cook for a part-time role in New South Wales, Sydney. The roster runs 0630-1430 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and 0930-1730 on Thursdays and Fridays.

The position offers an hourly rate of $36.10 plus Super and Not-for-Profit salary packaging, with a comprehensive onboarding program and mentoring from the General Manager - Hotel Operations. Requirements include a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, extensive

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Extensive cooking experience in a commercial environment.
• Demonstrated experience in the preparation of bulk cooking.
• Experience in ordering stock within budget guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with demonstrated interpersonal skills and empathy with older people.
• Demonstrated organisational skills and meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to direct and supervise the work of others.
• An understanding of and an ability to deal with Work Health and Safety issues.
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
• Commitment to workplace equity issues.
• Ensure the food service complies with the requirements of the NSW Food Authority.
• First aid certificate.
• Previous experience in the Aged Care Industry and/or related services
