Job summary

St Scholastica's Catholic Primary School in Burwood is seeking a classroom teacher to release a junior teacher for POL on Wednesdays at 0.24 FTE, commencing 27th January, 2027. The role is a contract position 0.24 FTE with potential alignment to a Visual Arts teaching position for the right candidate.

Applicants should have VIT registration, accreditation to teach RE, and the ability to work flexibly within a Catholic school community while delivering explicit instruction and engaging students

Qualifications

• VIT registration is required.
• Accreditation to teach RE in a Catholic School or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Support the Catholic ethos of the school.
• Display knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum.
• Build and maintain positive respectful relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Work flexibly and collaboratively within staff teams.
• Have a knowledge and/or experience in explicit Instruction, vision of learning and vision of engagement.
• Demonstrate understanding and implementation of MACS' Explicit Instruction model to support effective teaching and improved student learning outcomes.
