Job summary

Kelly+Partners Bendigo is seeking a capable part-time Bookkeeper to support our clients with day-to-day accounting and payroll.

You will manage BAS lodgements, payroll processing, and monthly reporting, working up to 20 hours per week in a collaborative team.

The role requires at least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, and proficiency with Xero or MYOB. Public practice experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience or similar role.
• Proficiency with Xero or MYOB and common accounting software.
• Experience in BAS lodgements and payroll processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping clients with day-to-day accounting and payroll support.
• Prepare and lodge BAS and other statutory returns with accuracy.
• Process payroll and handle payroll tax obligations and reporting requirements.
• Prepare end-of-year STP lodgements and assist with year-end processes.
• Complete accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and data processing.
• Generate monthly and quarterly reports using accounting software.
• Collaborate with Directors, Managers and team to support client outcomes.
• Participate in training, team meetings and company events.
