Job summary

Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join Denman Multipurpose Service. This temporary part-time role (24 hours per week) offers a supportive rural environment in the Upper Hunter Valley, with 90 minutes to Newcastle and its beaches.

Qualifications

• Assist with activities of daily living under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients and residents.
• Support the delivery of safe, person-centred care.
• Observe and promptly report changes in a patient’s condition to the Registered Nurse.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff to support positive patient outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable care environment in line with policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, compassionate care under RN direction.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition and comfort.
• Support safe, patient-centred care for individuals’ needs.
• Observe changes and escalate to RN when required.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support outcomes.
