Job summary

Nanyima Care is seeking a Support Services Worker (Laundry & Kitchen Hand) to support weekday operations at our 51-bed aged care home. You will clean resident rooms and shared spaces, manage laundry, and help maintain infection control standards.

This part-time role offers a base rate with casual loading and benefits through not-for-profit salary packaging, onsite parking, EAP, and career development opportunities while you contribute to residents' quality of life.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and laundry services; kitchen hand is desirable.
• Australian Working Rights, Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen, no sponsorships available
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain
• Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes is highly regarded but not essential

Responsibilities

• Maintaining legislated safety, quality, and hygiene standards
• Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and living areas
• Cleaning communal and dining areas
• Cleaning and sorting laundry
• Maintaining adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap, and other cleaning and hygiene supplies for resident use.
• Adhering to infection control principles, WHS requirements including the safe storage and use of chemicals and complete cleaning requirements according to facility schedules
• Completing required documentation and reporting
• Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks (Kitchen Hand)
• Assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties
• Distribution of meals to residents & dining room services
• All aspects of cleaning throughout the resident rooms and facility
• Completing required documentation and reporting
• Ensure handwashing supplies are available and replenished
• Contribute to an effective laundry service including item checking & labeling
