BlueCare at Flinders View Nowlanvil Aged Care Facility in Brisbane is seeking a part-time Cook to join the kitchen team. You will prepare, cook and present meals that meet dietary needs, maintain safety standards and support residents with dignity and comfort.

You will work under the Home Services Lead and collaborate with the Chef to ensure meals are delicious and on time. Relevant probity checks and experience in healthcare food service are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
• Food safety knowledge and safe food handling practices.
• Understanding of IDDSI, allergens and dietary requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow direction.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Satisfy probity checks required by policy.

Aufgaben

• Prepare, cook and serve meals in line with corporate menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure meals meet IDDSI, allergen, cultural and texture-modified needs.
• Deliver meals that are well-presented, appetising and at correct temperature.
• Support food preparation, portioning, plating and kitchen operations.
• Follow safe food handling, hygiene and infection control standards.
• Complete documentation including temperature checks and logs.
• Identify and report hazards, incidents or equipment faults.
