Crowne Plaza Canberra is looking for a Part-time Accounts and Finance Clerk to join our team.

As an Accounts and Finance Clerk, you will support the Finance Team by handling cashiering and assisting with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. This role is shared between Crowne Plaza Canberra and the National Convention Centre Canberra, supporting both businesses.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Performing cashiering duties accurately and promptly
  • Monitoring and pursuing collection of overdue accounts and discussing concerns
  • Maintaining accounting practices in line with company policies
  • Coordinating with guests and departments regarding credit issuance and account follow-up
  • Keeping records for audits and ensuring compliance with regulations and agreements
  • Communicating client requirements to relevant departments
  • Promoting teamwork and service quality through daily communication
  • Ensuring positive guest experiences while adhering to brand standards
  • Following WHS policies and procedures

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Strong numerical and reconciliation skills
  • Attention to detail and prompt issue resolution
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of front office and accounting processes
  • Proficiency in Excel and email
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or related field is desirable
