DBCA in Western Australia is seeking a Project Officer - Parks and Visitor Services (PVS) Special Projects for a 24-month fixed-term, full-time role. The position is based in Busselton, Margaret River, or Nannup.

Under the limited direction of the District PVS Coordinator, you will prepare and implement an annual PVS asset maintenance program, coordinate VRM assessments, assist with major PVS projects, and oversee lease infrastructure management across the district.

Qualifikationen

• Considerable experience in infrastructure maintenance, planning and development, preferably with experience in protected areas.
• Demonstrated experience and competence in financial management and administration, and other management systems, including project management, contract management, risk management and information technology.
• Evidence of high-level oral communication and interpersonal skills and experience in effectively liaising and negotiating with external organisations including Aboriginal groups, local and State government, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Evidence of highly developed written communication skills including the ability to respond to complex and detailed issues using computer software to prepare reports, presentations and correspondence.

Aufgaben

• Prepares and implements an annual PVS asset maintenance program for PVS assets across the district.
• Coordinates the district’s Visitor Risk Management (VRM) assessment program.
• Assists with the implementation of major PVS projects (internal or external capital works) across the district.
• Oversees lease infrastructure management issues and reports on issues and outcomes.
