Job summary

The City of Canterbury Bankstown Council is seeking a Greenkeeper to maintain and improve its parks, sportsgrounds, ovals and golf facilities. This permanent full-time position is based in NSW and involves working within a skilled team to present high-quality outdoor spaces for the community.

You will hold relevant greenkeeping qualifications, a current Class C licence, and experience in turf wicket and sports fields maintenance.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Greenkeeping or Sports Turf Management or Horticulture.
• Current Class C Drivers Licence.
• Experience in turf wicket and sports fields preparation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with parks, sports fields, ovals, and golf course maintenance and renovation.
• Support with annual improvement, maintenance and renovation programs.
• Inspect sports fields after rainfall and advise on closures/openings.
• Work flexible hours including weekends/public holidays as required.
• Undertake risk and hazard assessments and take corrective action.
• Ensure all works are completed within timeframes and finalized as allocated.
