Job summary

City of Perth’s Parks and Environment team is looking for an Irrigation Technician to maintain irrigation systems across parks, gardens and streetscapes, ensuring efficient watering and reliable operation.

Reporting to the Irrigation Lead, you will check, repair, and set watering schedules, perform planned maintenance, and work safely as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining commercial irrigation systems.
• Practical knowledge of irrigation equipment, pumps and controllers.
• Experience with physical work and safe manual handling.
• Good communication skills, a focus on safety and the ability to work well with others.
• An irrigation qualification is advantageous (Certificate III in Irrigation or Certified Irrigation Operator).

• $82,432 per annum, plus superannuation
• Full-time, permanent
• Osborne Park location

Enjoy hands-on work outdoors? Join our Parks and Environment team and help keep the City’s parks, gardens and streetscapes healthy by maintaining their irrigation systems.

• Checking, repairing and maintaining irrigation systems, pumps and controllers;
• Finding faults and making sure watering systems work properly;
• Setting watering schedules to use water efficiently; and
• Completing planned maintenance and repairs safely, as part of a team.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience maintaining commercial irrigation systems;
• Practical knowledge of irrigation equipment, pumps and controllers;
• Experience with physical work and safe manual handling; and
• Good communication skills, a focus on safety and the ability to work well with others.

An irrigation qualification, such as a Certificate III in Irrigation or Certified Irrigation Operator certification, would be an advantage.

Eligibility
