Carpentaria Shire Council invites applications for a Gardener to join the Town Crew. The role maintains parks, gardens and public spaces to keep areas clean, safe and visually appealing. Duties include mowing, pruning, planting, weed control and mulching, with safe operation of gardening equipment.

The position is 38 hours per week, Mon-Fri, with a 9-day fortnight option. Enquiries to Human Resources; applications close 17 December 2026 at 5:00 pm.

Formación

• Experience in garden and landscape maintenance.
• Ability to work outdoors as part of a team.
• Experience with irrigation systems and small machinery is highly regarded.

Responsabilidades

• Mow and maintain grassed areas and gardens.
• Prune and plant per seasonal plans; mulch and weed as needed.
• Operate gardening equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with maintaining sustainable outdoor spaces across Council facilities and public areas.
