Job summary

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions in Perth invites applications for a Ranger based at Woodman Point. This permanent, full-time position supports management across regional parks and delivers conservation programs while engaging visitors.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills with an ability to liaise with the public, tourism operators, community groups and Indigenous groups.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team, show initiative and work unsupervised.
• Ability to construct and maintain, carry out routine maintenance with hand tools, power tools, chainsaws and small engines.
• Ability to patrol and enforce procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carries out programmed operational activities and field support in Woodman Point Regional Park and other regional parks, including facilities maintenance and visitor services.
• Assists with fire, feral animal, compliance, weed and interpretative programs.
• Implements works programs in line with guidelines, policies and management plans.
