Job summary

Discovery Parks Lake Hume, part of the G’day Group, seeks a hands-on Park Manager to lead operations of a lakeside holiday park near Albury-Wodonga. You’ll oversee staff, budgeting, guest experience and regulatory compliance in a lifestyle venue.

This role offers a regional lifestyle with furnished 3-bedroom accommodation, a competitive salary with a quarterly bonus, and collaboration within Australia’s largest park network. Weekend/after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Background in hospitality, accommodation or caravan park management.
• Experience with RMS or Newbook reservations systems.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the park, including after-hours call outs when required
• Drive revenue, occupancy and overall financial performance through budgeting, cost control and reporting
• Coach, develop and support team members to achieve operational and business objectives
• Ensure the park is maintained to a high standard and meets health, safety and regulatory requirements
• Respond to guest enquiries, feedback and reviews, ensuring issues are resolved professionally and efficiently
• Support marketing initiatives that showcase the park and its lakeside location
• Build strong relationships with local businesses, community groups and key stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with the wider G’day Group network, including nearby Discovery Parks, to share resources, knowledge and support where required
• Attend to operational requirements across the park as needed, ensuring the property runs efficiently and consistently

About the Role

About You

We are seeking someone who has a strong understanding of park operations and is motivated to deliver results in a hands-on environment. You’ll bring a practical, people-focused approach and the ability to balance operational, financial and guest experience priorities.

Skills and experience include:

• A background in hospitality, accommodation or caravan park management
• Advanced computer skills, with experience in RMS, Newbook or similar reservations systems
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Sound financial management abilities
• Experience creating a positive and productive team culture
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of day-to-day park operations
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Ability to build positive relationships with guests, staff and the local community
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and after-hours when required
• A current driver’s licence

This role may require heavy lifting (up to 20kg), kneeling, squatting, and working with chemicals and machinery.
