Discovery Parks - Broome

Located approximately five minutes from town in one of Western Australia's most iconic destinations, Discovery Parks Broome offers an exciting opportunity to lead a substantial and well-established holiday park.

The park currently features 30 cabins, 170 sites and 55 annual sites, with a planned expansion of a further 17 cabins creating an exciting period of growth for the property.

For an experienced Park Manager, this is an opportunity to take the reins of a busy, varied operation, build strong relationships with the team and local community, and guide the property through its next stage of growth.

About the Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced hospitality, accommodation or tourism leader to take ownership of a busy, established holiday park in one of Western Australia's most recognised tourism destinations.

As Park Manager, you will lead all aspects of the operation, balancing commercial performance, guest satisfaction, team development and asset presentation. You will oversee staffing and rosters across the wet and dry seasons while ensuring the park continues to operate efficiently and deliver a positive guest experience.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being visible, hands-on and part of the day-to-day operation. You will be comfortable wearing multiple hats, managing challenges calmly and stepping in to support operational departments when required.

Your Responsibilities will Include:

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the park, including after-hours requirements when needed
  • Drive financial performance through effective budgeting, profit and loss management, forecasting, reporting, purchasing and cost control
  • Plan team rosters and workforce requirements across the wet and dry seasons
  • Recruit, coach, develop and mentor a capable, customer-focused team
  • Maintain exceptional presentation standards across accommodation, grounds and facilities
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety and regulatory requirements
  • Manage guest feedback, reviews and service recovery to deliver positive guest experiences
  • Build and maintain relationships with local community stakeholders, tourism operators and external partners
  • Manage difficult conversations and operational challenges calmly, fairly and professionally
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and support future growth
  • Collaborate with the wider G'day Group network and Head Office teams to support property initiatives
  • Provide hands-on operational support where required to ensure the park runs smoothly

About You

You are a confident, resilient and solutions-focused leader who thrives in a busy, customer-focused environment. You enjoy building strong teams, driving results and creating memorable guest experiences.

You will bring a balance of commercial acumen, operational expertise and people leadership, along with the communication and relationship-building skills needed to work effectively with guests, team members and the wider community.

Skills and Experience Include:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, accommodation, tourism or caravan park management
  • Strong leadership experience in a busy, multi-faceted operational environment
  • Current driver's licence
  • Experience using RMS or a similar property management system
  • Well-developed financial and commercial management skills
  • Proven ability to lead seasonal workforces, manage rosters and develop team capability
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong operational and asset management capability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with guests, staff, community stakeholders and external partners
  • A swimming pool licence
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and after-hours when required
