Job summary

AFCA is seeking a Paralegal to support the Privacy and Legal teams in a 12-month contract. You will work closely with the Senior Privacy Manager & Counsel and gain hands-on experience across privacy, regulatory and financial services law.

This role is ideal for a third-year or later law student or junior lawyer aiming to build practical skills in a dynamic, consumer-protective environment. Hybrid working is offered with two days in the office.

Qualifications

Third-year or later law student or junior lawyer seeking hands-on privacy/regulatory work.
Genuine interest in privacy, regulatory and financial services law.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

Assist with identifying, collecting, reviewing and preparing documents for privacy and other information requests.
Ensure information requests are managed accurately and in line with legal requirements.
Prepare correspondence, acknowledgement letters, file notes and other documents.
Support Privacy and Legal teams with matters, projects and investigations.
Monitor developments in privacy/regulatory law and summarise for the team.
