Job summary

Queensland Academy of Sport is seeking a Sports Scientist to provide physiology and movement science support to categorised para athletes and coaches, across programs including Swimming. Work within a multidisciplinary, high-performance environment to drive athlete development through evidence-based testing, monitoring, and integrated planning.

Qualifications

• Degree in sport and exercise science or similar.
• Postgraduate qualification would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-leading, evidence-based Physiology and Movement Science support to categorised para athletes and coaches.
• Collaborate with coaches to develop, implement and review Athlete Plans aligned with WITTW framework.
• Coordinate input from Performance Support team to ensure integrated athlete support.
• Deliver targeted performance testing and feedback to inform training and performance decisions.
