Job summary

Lake Washington School District is seeking a paraeducator at Einstein Elementary in Redmond. You will assist teachers with instruction for students with diverse needs, support health care needs, and help develop daily living and behavioral skills.

You may supervise students in various settings and help with classroom preparation and materials. Requirements include being at least 18, a high school diploma or equivalent, and one of several education options or tests.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher OR
• Completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter hours, OR
• Passed an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment with a score of 455 or higher OR
• Have passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher.
• Official documentation will be required upon hire.
• Must pass criminal background check

• May supervise and assist students in library, classrooms, resource rooms, self-contained classroom, playgrounds, or getting on and off a bus.

Education

Hourly Rate

$30.79 (SC7ParaEd26-27.pdf) is eligible for membership in the Teamsters Local Union No. 763 which is part of the Lake Washington School District Trades Bargaining Council No. 763 (TBC).
