About the role

We are seeking an EXPERIENCED Panel Shop Manager to join our dynamic team at Clyde Accident Repair Centre in Clyde North, Victoria. As the Panel Shop Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of our panel shop operations, ensuring efficiency, high-quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

Assisting our production manager, providing support to a team of skilled panel beaters and spray painters, delegating tasks and ensuring deadlines are met

Oversee the repair process, from assessing vehicle damage to coordinating the completion of repairs

Liaise with customers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns

Maintain workshop equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition

Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards

Monitor key performance indicators

What we're looking for

Extensive experience (5+ years) in a panel shop management role, with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Proficient in the use of industry-standard tools and equipment, as well as experience estimating using Audanet & I Bodyshop, contract knowledge an advantage preferably with Auto & General / Allianz

Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
