Job summary

Drive Autobody Pty Ltd in NSW is seeking experienced Panel Beaters to join our team in Silverwater and Moorebank. You will remove damaged panels, straighten body lines and install repaired sections to restore vehicles.

The role requires a Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent, and ideally a minimum of three years’ experience as a qualified Panel Beater with the ability to work well in a team. Salary range is A$70,000–A$90,000 per year depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Remove damaged panels and parts to gain access.
• Remove dents by hammering panels.
• Straighten damaged vehicles using mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
• Replace badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels.
• Fill depressions with plastic filler and smooth repaired surfaces.
• Cut and join replacement sections using welding equipment.
• Fit repaired or replacement panels and refit body hardware.
• Assist vehicle body builders in restoring custom-designed or vintage vehicles.
• Assist spray-painting vehicles.

Drive Autobody Pty Ltd is currently looking to recruit experienced and qualified Panel Beaters to join their team in Silverwater and Moorebank NSW. Successful candidates will need to undertake and possess:

• Remove damaged panels and parts, and remove upholstery and accessories to gain access
• Remove dents by hammering panels
• Straighten damaged vehicles and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment
• Replace badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels
• Fill depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces
• Cut and join replacement sections using welding equipment
• Fit repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and refit body hardware such as door locks and trims
• Assist vehicle body builders in constructing and restoring custom-designed, vintage and other specialty vehicles
• Assists spray-paint vehicles

Skills & Abilities

• Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent
• Ideally have a minimum of three years’ experience as a qualified Panel Beater
• A strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• The ability to work in a team environment

Salary range is $70,000-$90,000pa commensurate with experience. Fulltime Positions available.
