Job summary
Transdev John Holland Buses NSW is seeking a skilled Body Repairer / Panel Beater at the Bondi Junction depot to repair, maintain and refurbish our bus fleet to meet safety and presentation standards.
You will work within a maintenance team using hand and power tools to perform accident repairs, painting and refurbishment, while ensuring accurate records and a strong safety culture. Training and development opportunities are available.
Qualifications
- Current NSW MVTC Body Repairer Trade Certificate (essential).
- Current HR Driver Licence, or a current C Class Licence with the ability to obtain an HR Licence.
- Experience in vehicle body repairs, panel beating and painting.
- Computer literacy and the ability to maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Experience supervising or assisting with the training of apprentices and trade assistants.
- Experience in bus maintenance or public transport operations is highly regarded.

As a Body Repairer / Panel Beater at our Bondi Junction depot you will play an important role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable and looking its best. You will be responsible for repairing, maintaining and refurbishing our buses to ensure they meet operational and presentation standards. Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you'll contribute directly to the safe operation of public transport services relied upon by millions of customers each year.

- Annual salary $103,464.48 (inclusive of superannuation) + shift allowances and overtime.
- Hourly rate of $46.75ph, including industry allowance.
- Regular opportunities for paid overtime.
- Monthly rostered day off (RDO).
- FREE Opal card for both work and personal travel.
- Five weeks annual leave.
- Fortnightly rotating day and afternoon roster with 15% shift allowance on applicable shifts.
- Tools, boots and uniforms supplied.
- Uniform laundering facilities available on site.
- Free staff bus service from Central station (departure times vary).
- 5 minute walk from Bondi Junction train station

Following an initial training period on day shift, you will transition to a rotating two-week roster comprising:
- 6:00am to 2:30pm
- 10:30am to 7:00pm (15% shift allowance payable for the entire shift)
- 11:30am to 8:00pm (15% shift allowance payable for the entire shift)
