Job summary

Smiths Bodyshop Port Adelaide is hiring a skilled Panel Beater to join our fast-paced workshop in Port Adelaide, SA. You’ll inspect arrival parts, disassemble, perform panel repairs to OEM standards, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.

A competitive salary of 80,000–90,000 AUD with bonus is on offer, plus ongoing training and career progression. We welcome 3rd and 4th year apprentices eager to advance to qualified Panel Beater roles.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Panel Beater or a 3rd/4th year apprentice working toward qualification.
• Proven attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.
• Ability to follow repair instructions and OEM standards.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts upon arrival for accuracy and defects.
• Disassemble vehicles in line with repair instructions.
• Carry out panel repairs in accordance with OEM standards, repair methods, and job specifications.
• Reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Maintain a high standard of care when handling all vehicles.
• Use and maintain tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Follow all WHS policies and procedures, including PPE requirements.
