Job summary

University of Sydney invites applications for a full-time, 12-month fixed-term Research Focused Academic in pancreatic cancer research. The role will advance translational cancer biology with models and molecular profiling at the Kolling Institute, with travel between Kolling and Camperdown campuses.

You will apply advanced single-cell and spatial technologies and contribute to publications, funding, and mentorship within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline with postdoctoral experience.
• Experience in cancer animal models, preferably pancreatic cancer.
• Experience with single-cell and/or spatial technologies.
• Strong data analysis skills using R; Python helpful.
• Proven publication and presentation record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Develop and apply animal cancer models and 2D/3D co-culture systems.
• Undertake molecular profiling and single-cell or spatial analyses.
• Analyse data to support publications, presentations and funding.
• Mentor students and contribute to research group activities.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve outcomes.
