You will work in collaboration with an existing Palliative Care Volunteer Manager who focuses on hospitals/Palliative care Unit and community sites in the Bankstown, Fairfield and Liverpool LGAs. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and undertaking all tasks relating to recruiting and managing volunteers, ongoing community visiting programs and hospital/PCU programs; and supervision of volunteers. Together with the existing Volunteer Manager, you will provide cross cover for each other during periods of leave.

The Volunteer Manager/s will be responsible for developing and leading a volunteer service whose key focus is to support palliative care community and hospital services. The service is supported by an Admin Officer and is connected to Volunteering Australia and Palliative Care NSW Volunteering networks.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to make a difference in the lives of patients and their carers.

Our services are as diverse as the people we support. The common thread is our commitment to quality and recognising individual talents and challenges.

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.
