Job summary

HIA Apprentices in Newcastle and the surrounding Maitland and Hunter regions offer painting apprenticeships with an immediate start. This is a great pathway for keen, reliable individuals to become qualified painters, learning alongside professional tradespeople and gaining comprehensive on-the-job training.

You will work on construction sites, develop hands-on skills, and progress toward full qualification with dedicated support from HIA Apprentices throughout the training and employment period.

We have painting apprenticeships available in the Newcastle and the surrounding areas of Maitland and Hunter for an immediate start.

If the idea of working with your hands, building structures and working on construction sites appeals to you, a painting apprenticeship ticks all the right boxes. You will get the opportunity to work along side professional trades people and you will learn all aspects of your training and employment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS ROLE:

• Have a great attitude towards work, self-motivated, proactive, be a team player, attention to detail and willing to learn
• Be committed to finishing their apprenticeship and become a fully qualified painter
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport is preferable
• CI Card (white Card) or be willing to obtain prior to starting

You’ll receive dedicated support from HIA Apprentices in all aspects of your training and employment.
