Job summary

Hughes Mining Labour Hire is seeking an experienced Painter/Blaster for an immediate start on a mine site in WA. This hands-on role involves surface preparation, abrasive blasting and applying protective coatings to fixed plant, structural steel, and equipment in an operating mine environment.

Roster is 2 weeks on, 1 week off (2:1). Candidates must have proven blasting/painting experience, pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen, and be capable of working at heights and in confined

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Painter/Blaster (no trade certificate necessary)
• RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights
• RIIWHS202E – Enter and work in confined spaces
• HRWL – WP (Elevating Work Platform) is desirable but not essential
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
• A strong safety focus and good work ethic
• Availability to start immediately

Painter/Blaster – FIFO 2:1 – Immediate Start

Hughes Mining Labour Hire is urgently seeking experienced Painter/Blasters for an immediate start on a mine site in Western Australia’s North-Eastern Goldfields, approximately 940 km north-east of Perth.

This is a hands-on role carrying out surface preparation, abrasive blasting and protective coating work on fixed plant, structural steel and equipment in an operating mine environment.

Roster: 2 weeks on, 1 week off (2:1)

What you’ll be doing

Abrasive blasting and surface preparation to required standards

Applying protective coatings by spray, brush and roller

Working at heights and in confined spaces under site permit systems

Setting up, operating and maintaining blasting and painting equipment

Following all site safety procedures and housekeeping requirements

What you’ll need
