Job summary

Downer's Energy & Utilities team is seeking a Painter Blaster to join Barrow Island, WA project. The role involves abrasive blasting, surface preparation and applying industrial coatings to critical infrastructure, with a focus on safety, quality and productivity.

The position is full-time and permanent, with a FIFO 12-hour days roster from Perth, offering an opportunity to contribute to the Butler Park Corrosion Project and deliver high-quality workmanship in a remote offshore environment.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate required in surface preparation or equivalent.
• WA Driver's Licence is required.
• White Card / Construction Induction required.
• Working at Heights training completed within the last 2 years.
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
• Proven teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform abrasive blasting, surface preparation and application of protective coatings and paint.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety and productivity standards on Barrow Island site.
• Assist in maintaining long-term integrity of key infrastructure through coatings and surface prep.
