Job description

At Mansfield Motor Panel Repairs we aim to be the number one smash repairer in the Mansfield district extending to Yea, Eildon, Woods Point, Tolmie and beyond. We offer you a comprehensive range of services to make your car look new again.

Our services provide repairs when your car has been in an accident and you want to bring it back to its former state, or you are simply looking to upgrade the cosmetic appearance of your vehicle.

We are seeking highly skilled and qualified Painters to join our team of professionals on a full time and permanent basis.

The role includes but is not limited to: Understand surface preparation and finishes. Proper handling of all vehicles giving it due care and detailed attention. Be able to understand and complete works to specifications. Be able to mix correct ratio two-part paint coatings etc. Proper appropriation of consumables and materials to avoid wastage. Select paints, varnishes and stains to various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers. Understand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges and be able to achieve specified dry film thickness. Able to carry out minor repairs as and when deemed necessary. Be able to work at heights and in confined spaces. Erecting scaffolding and ladders. Cleaning equipment and work areas.

To be considered for this role, you must have the following: Trade Certificate – Certificate III in Surface Preparation or equivalent (for Blaster/Painters). High Risk Licence for EWP and/or Forklift. Trade Qualifications in Protective Coatings (ACA, NACE, ICorr, or other trade certs). HR licence, high risk licence with EWP and Forklift Drivers Licence (MR or HR class).

What We Offer

Salary: Between $75,000 and $80,000 per annum + Super.
