Job summary

Carma in Sydney is seeking a hands-on Paint Correction Detailer to restore vehicle finishes through detailing, paint correction and ceramic coating work. You’ll join a fast-paced, supportive team delivering vehicles that look and feel amazing for customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in detailing, cutting, buffing, polishing and paint correcting.

Responsibilities

• Perform ceramic coating and paint correction to the highest standard.
• Master exterior correction including heavy cut, buffing and polishing.
• Inspect and diagnose paint imperfections and select correct process.
• Drive shop quality by self-auditing work and supporting teammates.

We’re looking for a hands-on and quality-driven Paint Correction Detailer to join the Carma team! In this role, you’ll help bring every vehicle back to its shine through thorough detailing, paint correction, and ceramic coating work. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, supportive team that takes pride in delivering vehicles that look and feel amazing for our customers.

What you'll be doing?

• Ceramic coating & paint correction: apply ceramic coatings and perform paint correction (compounding, polishing, waxing) to achieve an exceptional finish.
• Master exterior correction: execute advanced heavy cut, buffing, multi-stage polishing, wet sanding, and paint touch-ups to eliminate scratches, swirls, and defects.
• Inspect & diagnose: accurately evaluate paint imperfections and clear coat types to select the exact right correction process for every panel.
• Drive shop quality: polish panels to the Carma standard, auditing your own work and offering constructive feedback to teammates to catch missed defects early.

Okay, Let's Talk About You

• You have previous Detailing experience cutting, buffing, polishing, paint correcting (even if that’s working on your own cars)
• You have a keen eye for detail - we love a perfectionist!
• You are motivated to learn and grow your skills
• You are reliable, punctual, and take pride in your work
• You hold a valid NSW driver's licence
