Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council is offering a 12-week paid marketing internship, My Summer Workplace, starting in November 2026 and finishing in February 2027. The role requires four days of work per week with a two-week unpaid break over Christmas.

As the Intern - Marketing, you will gain hands-on experience across marketing and communications, contribute to real projects, support campaigns, and develop practical skills in digital marketing, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination under

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a tertiary course and completed 16+ subjects, or recently graduated within 12 months; or recently completed a TAFE Diploma within 12 months.
• Able to attend the Assessment Centre on 29 October 2026.
• Possess Australian working rights: Citizen (AU/NZ), Permanent Resident, or current visa with unrestricted working rights for the duration of the program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creating and publishing content across social media, websites, and digital channels.
• Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns and community engagement activities.
• Draft and edit content for newsletters, articles, promotional materials, and digital platforms.
• Collect and analyse marketing and digital performance data to help improve audience engagement.
