Job summary

Jps Medical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Paediatrician for a rural South Australian facility. You will provide clinical expertise across ED, inpatient, neonatal nursery, and community consultations, with oversight of the Child Development Unit.

You will supervise General Practice Paediatricians and junior medical staff, ensuring high-quality child healthcare and protection compliance in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Fellowship of RACGP? Paediatric Medicine (RACP) is required.
• Australian registration with AHPRA is mandatory.
• SIMGs with RACP fellowship trajectory are encouraged to enquire.

Responsibilities

• Supervision and management of children across the Emergency Department, inpatient care, neonatal nursery, outpatients and community consultations.
• Oversight of the Child Development Unit and adherence to child protection responsibilities.
• Supervision of clinical practice for General Practice Paediatricians and junior medical staff.

As a senior member of the Paediatric team, you will offer clinical expertise within the Department of Paediatrics at the facility.

• Your responsibilities will encompass the supervision and management of children across various settings, including the Emergency Department, inpatient care, neonatal nursery, outpatients, and community consultations.


• Oversight of the Child Development Unit and adherence to mandated child protection responsibilities are integral aspects of your role.


• In addition to these duties, you will provide supervision for the clinical practice of General Practice Paediatricians and junior medical staff.
