Elective Recruitment is partnering with a major regional NSW hospital to recruit a paediatric physician at consultant level. The role covers busy inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and a Level 3 Special Care Nursery, with neonatal medicine a core component.
You will work with a multidisciplinary team, participate in trainee supervision, and contribute to clinical governance while enjoying a country regional lifestyle with easy access to services.
In this permanent role, you will join an established paediatric department within a major regional referral hospital providing comprehensive care to children, adolescents, and newborns. Working alongside consultant colleagues, registrars, and specialised nursing staff, you will oversee a busy inpatient unit, active outpatient clinics, and a Level 3 Special Care Nursery supporting high-risk deliveries. Neonatal medicine forms a substantial and rewarding component of the practice, supported by structured pathways with tertiary paediatric networks and neonatal retrieval teams. You will benefit from regular visiting tertiary subspecialty clinics, an experienced community allied health team for developmental medicine, and protected time to supervise trainees and contribute to clinical governance.
Outside the hospital, this thriving regional city offers an enviable balance of country warmth and modern convenience, making it an ideal setting to raise a family.
