Job summary

The POST Centre is a neurodiversity-affirming, multidisciplinary allied health clinic and NDIS-registered provider in Melbourne. It supports children, young people and families with paediatric Speech Pathology, collaborating with OTs, Psychologists and other clinicians to deliver practical, evidence-informed care that respects each child’s unique profile.

The role focuses on clinic-based assessment and therapy for speech, language, literacy and social communication, with flexible working options

Qualifications

  • Hold a recognised qualification in Speech Pathology.
  • Be eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a current Working With Children Check.
  • Hold, or be eligible to obtain, an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Genuinely enjoy working with children and families.
  • Communicate well and value collaboration.
  • Be committed to professional development.
  • Be curious, caring, organised and passionate about neurodiversity-affirming practice.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assessments and provide individualised therapy
  • Develop meaningful goals with families
  • Support families with practical strategies
  • Collaborate with other professionals involved in each child's care
  • Work with parents and teachers to develop strategies that can be used outside the therapy room
  • Trial AAC options with families
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and other multidisciplinary team members
