Job summary

NSW Health is inviting applications for a Permanent Full Time Staff Specialist in Paediatrics, primarily based at Wyong Hospital within the Central Coast Local Health District. Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent specialist recognition are expected, with eligibility for NSW registration.

The role requires paediatric experience, service development skills, and a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring across medical, nursing and allied health staff.

Qualifications

• Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent specialist recognition.
• Medical practitioner registered or eligible for registration in New South Wales.
• Experience in Paediatrics and paediatric service development.
• Commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and leadership in Paediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide paediatrics clinical leadership within the department.
• Mentor and teach medical, nursing and allied health professionals.
• Ensure clinical governance and compliance with national standards across the Paediatrics Department.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver paediatric services.
