Job summary

Bellarine Community Health (BCH) is seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist — Grade 2 to manage a diverse caseload across community health and NDIS for children and youth. The role emphasises holistic, family-centred therapy, collaboration with schools and clinics, and supervision of students and less experienced staff.

Applicants should hold an OT degree and be AHPRA-registered, with a current police check, WWCC, and driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in occupational therapy and AHPRA registration.
• Advanced paediatric occupational therapy clinical problem solving.
• Collaborative, strength-based, family- and child-centred practice with parent upskilling.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Current National Police Check (within 6 months).
• Current Working with Children Check (Employee BCH).

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of both community health and NDIS clients
• Provision of high-quality clinical occupational therapy services to children and young people with developmental delays or disabilities
• Completing clinical assessments, providing therapy (individual or group), and follow-up
• Practising in a holistic, child- and family-centred, strength-based manner
• Working in clinic, early childhood, schools, and home environments
• Supervising students, early career clinicians, and allied health assistants or volunteers
• Participating in and contributing to clinical governance activities
