Job summary

The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne is seeking a Paediatric ENT consultant for a fixed-term, part-time role (1–2 days per week) over six months (Jan 2027 to Jun 2027). The appointment includes outpatient clinics, elective theatre, inpatient care and on-call ENT coverage, with supervision of junior medical staff.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to children and adolescents and contribute to education, audits and research.

Qualifications

• FRACS or equivalent College Fellowship with subspecialty experience in Paediatric Otolaryngology.
• AHPRA Specialist Medical Registration to work at consultant level.

Responsibilities

• Supervise medical students and postgraduate trainees including the Otolaryngology Fellow.
• Lead by example in delivering high-quality clinical care for children and adolescents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex clinical and logistical issues.
• Participate in the Otolaryngology on-call roster and escalation processes.
• Contribute to research, audits and quality improvement projects.
• Engage in multidisciplinary education activities within RCH and outreach settings.
