Job summary

NSW Health, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, seeks a Paediatric Dental Officer to deliver high-quality oral health care for inpatients and outpatients. You will participate in clinics, theatre and emergency lists and attend departmental meetings.

The role requires AHPRA registration and a willingness to teach dental students and staff, with opportunities for professional development and research participation in a dynamic paediatric health service.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Dentist with AHPRA.
• Experience in paediatric dentistry; hospital experience desirable.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to education and professional development with teaching willingness.
• Willingness to undertake research.
• Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality oral health care to inpatients and out-patients.
• Attend clinics and departmental meetings and in-service training.
• Assist with clinics as well as the theatre and emergency lists.
