Job summary

Sonoma Baking Company in Sydney is seeking a Packing Team Leader to guide our packing line and keep daily production running smoothly. This hands-on role values quality, teamwork and a proactive approach in a fast-paced bakery environment.

You’ll lead the packing team on shift, allocate tasks, monitor schedules, ensure correct labelling and maintain HACCP and WHS standards while upholding Sonoma’s high food-safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in food production, packing or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support the packing team during the shift.

• Ensure products are packed and labelled correctly.
• Maintain stock scanning accuracy and packing materials.

We're looking for a Packing Team Leader to lead our packing team and help keep our daily production running smoothly. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in quality and knows how to keep things moving in a fast-paced production environment.

The Role

You’ll lead the packing team during your shift, ensuring products are packed accurately, safely and on time while maintaining Sonoma's quality and food safety standards.

• Lead, supervise and support the packing team throughout the shift
• Allocate tasks and ensure adequate staffing across packing lines
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and support team training
• Monitor packing schedules, productivity and line performance
• Ensure products are packed and labelled correctly
• Monitor stock scanning accuracy and packing materials
• Maintain product quality, temperature and cold chain requirements
• Identify and resolve operational issues, downtime and packing errors
• Maintain clean and organised packing areas
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, food safety and WHS requirements
• Complete quality checks, records and end-of-shift reporting
