Job summary

CherryHill Orchards in Victoria’s Yarra Valley is recruiting for Seasonal – casual Packers & Box Makers. Join the packing facility from October 2026 to January 2027, with weekend and public holiday shifts available.

You’ll sort cherries, pack boxes, and keep the area tidy while prioritising safety. Applicants should have own vehicle and a valid driver’s license; good English; and be able to work through the full season.

Qualifications

• Own vehicle and a full driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate in English and understand safety instructions.
• Previous packing experience is an advantage but not mandatory (training will be provided).
• Available to work weekends and commit to the full season.
• Willingness to follow Workplace Health & Safety responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Sort and pack cherries.
• Make up boxes.
• Cleaning duties as required.
• Keep packing area clean, organised and safe.
• Lift trays and boxes up to 15 kg.
• Follow safety instructions in the packing facility.

We run agri-tourism experiences and supply fresh cherries to Australia’s supermarkets, independent grocers, and fresh produce markets. We also export our fresh cherries around the world.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Cherry Season is HERE!

Join our seasonal team from October 2026 to January 2027 in the stunning Yarra Valley in Victoria, just a 1-hour drive from Melbourne CBD.

Positions available in our Packing Facility located in the Yarra Valley Area.

The role is suitable for applicants with full working rights, including Working Holiday Visa holders, Australian Permanent Residents, and Australian Citizens. We’re eligible to sign off on visa day extensions for Working Holiday Visa holders.

• Sorting and packing cherries
• Making up boxes
• Cleaning duties as required
• Keep packing area clean, organised, and free of hazards
• Lifting trays and boxes up to 15 kg
• Following safety instructions in the packing facility

About you:

• You have your own vehicle and a full driver’s licence

• You can adapt to different packing lines or product types as required
